Whittlesea railway station serves the town of Whittlesey in Cambridgeshire, England. Whittlesea is an older spelling of the town's name.

All the original station buildings have long been demolished, and only the two platforms remain. Unlike many railway crossings, the gates are not automatic and are still opened and closed by hand by a person who sits in a small hut-like building by the crossing.

In the early 1970s, the Flying Scotsman visited the station.

Fenland District council are in talks with train operators to oppose more services for the line with 2 services in between Birmingham and Stansted Airport and a hourly service between Ipswich and Peterborough with more services stopping at Whittlesea and Manea which would stop at March also.

Services

National Express East Anglia operate a two hourly service to Ipswich (1 hr 43 mins) and return to Peterborough (11 mins). CrossCountry Mondays-Saturdays only operate 3 daily trains to Cambridge with 2 extended to Stansted Airport, with 2 services to Brimingham New Street. East Midlands Trains operate a service to Liverpool Lime Street Mondays-Saturdays only.
